Troops of the 20th Gajaba Regiment (GR) under the 58 Division have captured a safe house of Pottu Amman, while engaged in counter terrorist operations in general area South of Iranapalai at the Mullaittivu battlefront today (March 24).
According to military, the safe house was used by both Pottu Amman and Kapil Amman two of the most wanted terrorists of the LTTE outfit for war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Meanwhile, troops have also found a jeep believed used by Pottu Amman himself during subsequent search operations conducted. A large amount of anti-personnel(AP) mines were also found in the search and clearing operations, ground sources added.
