LTTE aircraft parts uncovered during search operations- Mullaittivu

Sri Lankan security forces while engaged in search operations in general area Waddaikachchi, Mullaittivu, have uncovered several parts of an LTTE air craft left burnt by the terrorists while fleeing from the area, today (Feb 18).

According to military sources at the battlefront, the skeletal parts and several partly burnt pieces of a fuselage and a rotor blade of an air craft were found. LTTE terrorists have been experimenting clandestinely military sources at the site said adding that air craft manuals, engineering sketches, and brochures of model light aircraft were among the items found.

Lathe machines, aluminum sheets, motor engine parts, nuts and bolts and a stock of other similar tools and accessories were also uncovered by the troops, military sources further said.
